What was supposed to be a quick trip to Home Depot to look at bathroom tile....turned into DH walking into PetSmart and me finding him in the bird section picking out birds to add to our household. It didn't take much to convince me, I had mourning doves and cockatiels as pets when younger, and so did he.
We asked for help to get started. We picked out toys, food, and a BIG cage which the employee happily mentioned could hold up to 5 parakeets. DH's eyes lit up....he said and i quote- "we can add 1 more, ok maybe another pair later!" LOL and then proceeded to pick out our new babies :)
The 2 we picked were so feisty, like everyone else in our family, so we knew they'd fit in just fine.
Here are a few pics of DH getting their cage set up, Daisy welcoming her new brother and sister, (yup, that's right, a boy and a girl)and DH waiting for them to sing! :) They don't have any names yet, but if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to share! :) I was thinking something along the lines of, "Bonnie & Clyde"- Lol.

They are pretty! I love how your DH is just watching and waiting for them to sing while they proceed to ignore him. LOL
